@ seatac

i'm sitting at seatac right now (seattle-tacoma int'l airport) watching the sun rise and the world wake up around me. not a bad way to spend my morning, but honestly, going on an hour of sleep, all i want to do is mute everyone and everything around me, close my eyes, and drift off to dreamland. given my poor history of finding said dreamland on buses, airplanes, and various other modes of transportation, it will be interesting to see if i can in fact locate this dreamland and catch some z's. we land in chicago at 230 local time, and fly out at 445 pm. lucked out and i won't have to change my luggage so all i have to do is walk from gate to gate once i arrive in o'hare. was a weird morning today. went to bed at 4 am, it felt great. next thing i know i'm being told that it's time to get up. eff. well alright then. after a dark morning drive from my parents home through north bend, issaquah, bellevue, and renton, we arrive here to the airport. the goodbyes were ok, nothing too major or heavy. probably my senses are too dulled right now because i am only half awake. check-in was a breeze and security was quick and painless. the people are starting to arrive here at the gate. we board in a half hour. i could probably sleep in that amount of time, but i'm going to try and hold off until i am in my seat. alright no more for now. maybe i'll write again in chicago.
